Knok voor universitaire democratie!
Ik ben vereerd bij deze verkiezingen lijsttrekker van de Knokpartij te zijn, want de Knokpartij is de enige partij die de confrontatie met het bestuur durft op te zoeken. Als je kijkt naar de grote hoeveelheid problemen op onze universiteit, wordt zo’n confrontatie onvermijdelijk. Grensoverschrijdend gedrag, fascistische groeperingen, banden met aan genocide op de Palestijnen medeplichtige universiteiten: allemaal problemen die voortkomen uit de terreur van de hiërarchie. De oplossing is simpel: universitaire democratie. De universiteit moet in handen komen van studenten en staf, niet in die van professionele bestuurders en hun lakeien. De Knokpartij voert de druk op het bestuur op. Knok jij mee? Eis democratie en transparantie, eis het breken van de banden!

Knok voor een Democratische Universiteit
Hallo, mijn naam is Elise van der Doelen. Ik ben 19 jaar en doe op dit moment mijn eerste jaar Computing Science. Ik zit bij de Knokpartij omdat dit de enige studentenpartij is die het durft op te nemen tegen de bureaucratie van de RU en het College van Bestuurders. Ik wil een democratische, transparante Radboud Universiteit waar zij die de echte consequenties van beleid ervaren, namelijk de studenten en werknemers, het voor het zeggen hebben in plaats van een onverkozen College van Bestuurders. Een Universiteit waar de banden met bedrijven en andere organisaties openbaar zijn en zonodig verbroken kunnen worden. Een Universiteit die geen banden behoudt met vervuilende en mensenrechtenschendende organisaties.

Breek de banden - geen steun aan oorlog!
De universiteit hoort een open, vrij instituut te zijn waar studenten zich kunnen ontwikkelen en zich vrij kunnen uiten. Helaas is dat nu lang niet altijd het geval: grensoverschrijdend gedrag, discriminerende studentenverenigingen, compleet ondoorzichtig bestuur waar inspraak van studenten eerder een suggestie dan een eis is, en samenwerking met een land dat genocide pleegt.
Wij staan voor een vrije, inclusieve universiteit waar de problemen en eisen van studenten en medewerkers niet zo maar afgedaan kunnen worden, waar grensoverschrijdend gedrag echt bestraft wordt, en een einde wordt gemaakt aan de doofpot van het CvB.

Lieve medestudenten,
Mijn naam is Mayke en ik sta klaar om jullie te vertegenwoordigen als jullie volgende vertegenwoordiger in de USR. Met trots kan ik zeggen dat ik twee jaar lang actief ben geweest in de Opleidingscommissie van Religiewetenschappen en Theologie, waar ik heb bijgedragen aan het verbeteren van de academische ervaring voor medestudenten.
Ik streef naar het herstellen van de universiteit als een plek waar inspiratie en motivatie bloeien. Laten we samenwerken om een omgeving te creëren waarin elke student zich voelt en wordt begrijpelijk om actief deel te nemen aan het vormgeven van onze academische gemeenschap.
Ik geloof in een universiteit die transparantie hoog in de vlag draagt. Het is van essentieel belang dat onze instelling open en eerlijk is in al haar activiteiten, inclusief haar banden met bedrijven. Daarom pleit ik ervoor dat onze universiteit stappen onderneemt om banden te breken met vervuilende bedrijven en om een ethisch verantwoord beleid te voeren.
Daarnaast is het belangrijk om een kritische houding aan te nemen ten opzichte van internationale kwesties, waaronder het erkennen van de genocide en het breken van banden met Israëlische universiteiten. Als universiteit moet de Radboud zich bewust zijn van haar invloed en verantwoordelijkheid in de wereld, en streven naar een rechtvaardiging en vreedzaam beleid.
Innovatie is de sleutel tot vooruitgang, en ik beloof mijn inzet om nieuwe ideeën te verwelkomen en te ondersteunen. Laten we kritisch geluid koesteren, willen alleen door open discussie en debat kunnen we groeien en veranderen.
Samen kunnen we kloppen voor een universiteit die gedreven wordt door gelijke kansen, waar elk talent kan bloeien, variabele achtergrond van status. Stem voor een toekomst die we samen kunnen creëren!

We knokken door!
Vorig jaar heb ik met plezier de lijst aangevoerd. In de vergaderingen zitten liet me zien hoe bureaucratisch en ondemocratisch de universiteit werkelijk is, en het was nog teleurstellender dan ik dacht. Na een jaar ben ik blij het stokje over te geven aan de volgende strijdbare kandidaten van de Knokpartij en wil ik achter de schermen werken, maar als het mij gegund is wil ik graag nog een jaartje door!

Als socialist zet ik mij in voor de strijd voor een democratische, dekoloniale, klimaatneutrale en genocidevrije universiteit.
Dat betekent onder andere dat:
De universiteit moet zich direcht inzetten voor meer huisvesting voor studenten
De universiteit niet alleen groene aandelen koopt om zichzelf schoon te noemen, maar ook daadwerkelijk de uitstoot op de campus naar nul brengt
De universiteit moet open zijn over de relaties met Israëlische universiteiten, wetenschappelijke instituren en bedrijven, deze banden direct verbreekt, en een standpunt inneemt over de genocide en apartheid die op zit moment gebeuren
Studenten en medewerkers niet alleen kunnen adviseren aan het college van bestuur, maar ook kunnen meestemmen. Ook op faculair niveau
Er meer aandacht komt voor het koloniale verleden en de doorwerkingen ervan die vandaag de dag nog levens tekenen
Ik geef een stem aan studenten in de marge: trans- en nonbinaire personen, neurodivergente mensen, en wil in gesprek met mensen van diverse groepen die normalieter nauwelijks aan het woord komen.
Dus: stem op de goede zaak waar de studenten en medewerkers van de toekomst iets aan hebben, en niet op saaie kakkers waar je na het stemmen niets meer aan hebt.

Voor zeggenschap en koffie!
Er zijn veel dingen die we willen als studenten. Zoals gratis koffie waarvoor we niet door de halve faculteit hoeven te lopen. Maar ook zoals betaalbaar en kwalitatief onderwijs.
Er is alleen een groot probleem waar we tegenaan lopen wanneer we voor zulke eisen strijden. Dat is dat we als studenten weinig te zeggen hebben over het beleid van de universiteit, en vaak niet de informatie krijgen die we nodig hebben. We kunnen niet eens inzien waar het geld van de universiteit allemaal aan besteed wordt.Om voor onze belangen op te komen, en om de besluiten van de leiding van de universiteit te kunnen beoordelen, moeten we ervoor zorgen dat studenten en werknemers wat te zeggen krijgen op onze universiteit.

Procrastinating my deadlines, not change
Hello all! My name is Rita, I'm 18, and I'm an international student in my first year of the Bachelor's in Psychology. When I'm supposed to be studying, I like to (badly) play the guitar, binge watch terrible TV series, and drink fancy-flavored teas. However, I have been finding it quite difficult to procrastinate in peace this past while. There are so many struggles that come with being an international student here, and despite paying the university staggering amounts in institutional fees every year, our interests are still not fairly represented. With your help, we can change that. With your help, we can add another thing to my list of things to do other than do the required reading. With your help, I can be your voice on the inside. Someone who will represent all students, no matter where you come from. The university says: "You have a part to play." Well then, let's play, babeeyy!

Knokken voor democratie op de unie
Na nog niet eens een jaar aan de Radboud te studeren is mij al duidelijk hoe de vork in de steel steekt. Om de schijn van democratie te houden is er de USR, een raad diens besluiten structureel genegeerd worden door het College van bestuur. Genocidale universiteiten zijn klaarblijkelijk onze grootste vrienden. De inclusiviteit die wordt nagestreefd lijdt onder de aanwezigheid van discriminerende studentenverenigingen die op de Radboud vrij baan krijgen. Hier moet verandering in komen. Daarom knokken wij als partij om deze problemen voor eens en voor altijd de wereld uit te helpen.

I am a master student in Medical Biology and I am excited to once again be on the Knockpartij list. We had a vision of a university that puts the well being of its student and staff at its core rather than profit interests, and were willing to fight for it within the student council and outside.
The past months we have been fighting for academic boycott of israeli institutions at our University, which we believe is necessary for us not to be complicit in the ongoing genocide. The response of silence or empty platitudes shows the necessity to fight for democratization so that radical demands do not get ignored!
Join us in the fight for more student and worker participation, an affordable campus and to make sure Radboud stands on the right side of history.

Free Palestine / houd het CvB verantwoordelijk!
In het afgelopen jaar hebben we ervaren wat er gebeurt wanneer de universiteit zijn deuren gesloten houdt naar het geluid van medewerkers en studenten: dringende oproepen om banden met Israëlische universiteiten te verbreken worden genegeerd. Op de nood naar een sociaal veiligere universiteit wordt ontransparant gereageerd met vage plannen en juist een versterking van de hiërarchie. Het is dan ook meer nodig dan ooit om onze universiteit een democratischer en transparanter karakter te geven. Er mag dan nog een lange weg te gaan zijn om deze logge institutie een beetje de goede richting op te draaien, ik ga deze uitdaging maar al te graag aan!

Democratiseer en dekoloniseer de campus!
Studenten hebben al lange tijd inspraak in het universiteitsbeleid via de USR, maar de USR heeft niet de macht om haar eisen door te voeren. Zo word er weinig tot niet geluisterd naar studenten en medewerkers die vragen om een diverser curriculum of het stoppen van vervuilende praktijken. Ook naar eisen voor het breken van banden met Israëlische instituten, die meewerken aan de genocide in Gaza en de koloniale onderdrukking van Palestijnen, word niet geluisterd.
De Radboud universiteit schetst zichzelf graag als een progressief instituut, maar houdt zich ondertussen bezig met praktijken die daar niet bij passen. Knokpartij knokt voor een universiteit met rechtvaardig en progressief beleid. Daarbij staat voorop dat de universiteit eerst gedemocratiseerd moet worden, zodat we dat kunnen bereiken.

The past year, I have lead the party through tumultuous times, with us speaking out against fascists and asking severe questions to the executive board of the university. The coming year, I intend to fight even harder for a fair, transparant university, beginning with the fight for cutting ties with institutions from the zionist entity.

I am honoured to be the list leader of Knokpartij in these elections, because Knokpartij is the only party that dares to confront the administration. When you look at the large number of problems in our university, such a confrontation becomes inevitable. Transgressive behaviour, fascist groups, links with universities complicit in genocide against the Palestinians: all problems that stem from the terror of hierarchy. The solution is simple: a democratic university. The university should be in the hands of students and staff, not professional administrators and their lackeys. Knokpartij is increasing the pressure on the administration. Will you fight with us? Demand democracy and transparency, demand the breaking of ties!

Fight for a Democratic University
Hello, my name is Elise van der Doelen. I am 19 years old and currently doing my first year of Computing Science. I am a member of the Knokpartij because it is the only student party that isn't afraid to stand up to the bureaucracy of the RU and the Executive Board. I want a democratic, transparent Radboud University where those who experience the real consequences of policy, namely the students and workers, are calling the shots, instead of an unelected Executive Board. A University where the ties with companies and other organisations are public and could be broken if needed. A University that does not maintain ties with organisations that pollute and violate human rights.

Cut the ties - No support to war!
The university is supposed to be a free, open institute where students can develop and express themselves. Unfortunately, this is often not the case: transgressive behaviour, discriminating student associations, completely untransparent governance where student participation is treated as more of a suggestion than a demand, and collaboration with a state that is committing genocide.
We stand for a free, inclusive university where the problems and demands of students and staff can’t be dismissed, where transgressive behaviour is really punished, and where an end is made to the executive board’s smokescreen.

My name is Mayke and I am ready to represent you as your next representative in the USR. I am proud to say that I have been active in the Educational Committee of Religious Studies and Theology for two years, where I have contributed to improving the academic experience for fellow students.
I aim to restore the university as a place where inspiration and motivation flourish. Let us work together to create an environment where every student feels and understands to actively participate in shaping our academic community.
I believe in a university that values transparency. It is essential that our institution is open and honest in all its activities, including its links with companies. That is why I advocate that our university takes steps to break ties with polluting companies and implement ethically responsible policies.
In addition, it is important to take a critical stance towards international issues, including recognizing the Palestinian genocide and breaking ties with Israeli universities. As a university, Radboud must be aware of its influence and responsibility in the world, and strive for a just and peaceful policy.
Innovation is the key to progress, and I pledge my commitment to welcoming and supporting new ideas. Let us cherish critical voices, only through open discussion and debate can we grow and change.

We keep fighting!
Last year, I happily lead the Knokpartij list. In the university council meetings, I saw how bureaucratic and undemocratic the university really is. And it was even more disappointing than I thought. Ater a year, I am happy to give other people the chance to voice themselves, and I will keep working behind the scenes. However, if destiny wills it, I'll gladly take seat in the council again!

As a socialist, I am committed to the struggle for a democratic, decolonial, climate-neutral and genocide-free university.
This means, among other things, that:
The university must immediately commit itself to more housing for students
The university not only buys green shares to call itself clean, but also actually reduces emissions on campus to zero
The university must be open about its relations with Israeli universities, scientific institutions and companies, immediately sever these ties, and take a position on the genocide and apartheid that are currently happening
Students and employees can not only advise the Executive Board, but also vote. Also at faculty level
More attention is being paid to the colonial past and its consequences that still affect lives today
I give a voice to students on the margins: trans and non-binary people, neurodivergent people, and I want to talk to people from various groups who normally hardly get a chance to speak.
So: vote for a good cause that will benefit the students and employees of the future, and not for boring posh people that will no longer be of any use to you after voting.

There are many things we want as students. Like free coffee for which we don't have to walk through half the faculty. But also affordable and high-quality education.
There is just one major problem we face when we fight for such demands. That is that as students we have little say in university policy and are often kept in the dark. We cannot even see what the university's money is spent on.In order to stand up for our interests, and to be able to assess the decisions of the university's leadership, we must ensure that students and employees have a say in our university.

Fighting for democracy at the uni
After studying at Radboud for less than a year, it is already clear to me how things really work. To maintain the appearance of democracy, there is the USR, a council whose decisions are consistently ignored by the Executive Board. Genocidal universities are apparently our greatest friends. The inclusivity that is pursued is undermined by the presence of discriminatory student associations that have free rein at Radboud. This needs to change. That is why our party fights to solve these problems once and for all.

In the past year we saw - repeatedly - what happens when the university closes its doors to the voices of employees and students. Urgent calls to break the ties with Israeli universities are ignored. The need for a social safer university is met with vague plans and attempts to strengthen hierarchy. It is therefore more than necessary to give our university a more democratic and transparant character. Even though there is still a long way to go to turn this inert institution in the right direction, it is a challenge I - and Knokpartij - are more than willing to take on!

Democratize and Decolonize the Campus!
Students have long had a say in university policy through the USR, but the USR does not have the power to enforce its demands. As a result, students and staff who ask for a more diverse curriculum or the cessation of polluting practices are rarely, if ever, listened to. Demands to sever ties with Israeli institutions, which collaborate in the genocide in Gaza and the colonial oppression of Palestinians, are also ignored.
Radboud University likes to portray itself as a progressive institution, but meanwhile engages in practices that do not align with this image. Knokpartij fights for a university with just and progressive policies. Foremost, the university must first be democratized so that we can achieve this.
